Welcome to the studio!

I has been teaching privately since 2011, preparing students for NYSSMA and high school musical auditions.

I graduated with a Master of Music degree from Binghamton University in Opera Performance in addition to a Bachelor of Science degree in Vocal Performance with honors from Hofstra University. I also attended Lamar University’s acclaimed online certificate program in Vocology, which I completed in 2022, to continue my growth as a voice teacher and performer. I have extensive experience teaching ear-training and music theory, including sight-singing.

My students range from beginning elementary-aged children who love to sing, all the way to older adult hobbyists who want a tune-up. Many students have come to the studio for successful preparation for auditions, including NYSSMA, All-State, All-National, various musicals, competitions, colleges, and Broadway National Tours.

I am a flexible teacher and easily adapt to the student’s needs. I primarily use a technical approach and believe it is important for the student to understand how singing works in order to unlock all the possibilities of creating art. This approach is tailored to each specific student. I am well-versed in classical music, as well as musical theatre and pop styles.

Forming a trusting and respectful relationship with the student is equally as important in the voice studio. Singing is a vulnerable activity. It is important each student feels safe and heard.

I am an active opera and musical theatre singer as well as a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME), and the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA). I am a charter member and serve as secretary for the recently formed Nassau/Suffolk/Queens chapter of NATS. I also hold performance awards from both NATS and the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
